5 Hounds Breeder Program Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective 30th June 2026

The program at a glance

Puppy-family offer: 75% off their first box.

Breeder reward: $50 cash per family that reaches their 2nd delivery.

Free weaning food: 2 / 3 / 4 boxes by litter size, for pups aged 3 to 8 weeks.

Getting started: begin with one active litter, grow to proven status.

1. About these Terms

These Terms set out the agreement between 5 Hounds Pty Ltd, ABN [47 682 161 306] ("5 Hounds", "we", "us") and you, the breeder ("you"), when you join the 5 Hounds Breeder Program (the "Program").

By submitting a Program application and ticking that you accept these Terms, you agree to them. If we approve your application, these Terms govern our partnership from that point on.

We've written these in plain language on purpose. If anything's unclear, just ask us. We'd rather explain it than hide it in fine print.

2. What the Program is

The Program is a partnership between 5 Hounds and ethical, registered breeders. The idea is simple: we help you get your puppies onto real, fresh food early, and we support your puppy families to keep feeding well for life. In return, you introduce your families to 5 Hounds.

It's built on support, education and shared values, not just discounts. Joining the Program doesn't make you an employee, agent or franchisee of 5 Hounds, and it doesn't create a partnership in the legal sense. You run your breeding business; we run ours.

3. Joining the Program

3.1 Eligibility. To join, you must:

• be a registered breeder with a recognised body (e.g. ANKC, a state body, or RPBA) and give us your registration number;

• breed in line with your state's laws and code of ethics; and

• meet the care and welfare standards in Section 9.

3.2 Approval is at our discretion. Every application is reviewed personally before approval. We may approve or decline any application, and we don't have to give a reason. Being registered doesn't guarantee a place in the Program.

3.3 Accurate information. Everything you tell us in your application and afterwards must be true and current. If something changes (your registration, your litters, your details), let us know.

4. How the Program works

4.1 Your codes and page. When you're approved, we'll set you up with a unique breeder code and your own landing page. Each time you register a litter with us, that litter gets its own unique litter code. You share your litter's link with your puppy families so we can connect them back to you and your litter.

4.2 Registering a litter. You register each litter through your breeder portal, telling us the breed, the expected number of puppies and the expected go-home date. To help us confirm the litter and size any support correctly, we may ask for the puppies' microchip numbers and/or a photo of the litter. This isn't an audit; it's how we keep the Program fair for everyone.

4.3 Starting with one litter. New partners begin on a starter basis, with one active litter at a time. Once your first litter has shown real results, with puppy families taking up 5 Hounds and staying with it, we'll move you to a proven status, where you can run more litters at once. We may also move you to proven status by agreement at any time, and we may pause or return a partner to the starter basis if things aren't working (for example, very low take-up, or a welfare concern).

5. What 5 Hounds provides

While you're an active partner, we'll provide:

Puppy Welcome Packs for your registered litters, to give to your puppy families at go-home (for example, our welcome booklet, feeding guidance, and a treat sample).

A welcome offer for your puppy families: 75% off their first box of 5 Hounds.

Free weaning food for your litters. Once you've registered a litter, you can claim free 5 Hounds for the whelping mum and her pups during weaning. To keep this fair and matched to real need:

‣ it can only be claimed while the pups are between 3 and 8 weeks old; and
‣ the number of free boxes is set by the litter's size: small breeds 2 boxes, medium breeds 3 boxes, large breeds 4 boxes per litter. You trigger these yourself in your breeder portal.

A breeder discount on 5 Hounds orders for your own dogs.

Education and support from our team, including Dr Will, on fresh feeding for puppies and adults.

A marketing toolkit (assets and links) to help you share the partnership.

We may change, add to or withdraw specific benefits from time to time (see Section 11). We'll give you reasonable notice of any material change.

6. Breeder rewards

6.1 The reward. For each puppy family from one of your registered litters who subscribes to 5 Hounds and reaches their second delivery, you'll earn a reward of AUD $50.

6.2 Why the second box. We reward the second box rather than the first because it reflects a family who has genuinely taken up fresh feeding, not a one-off trial. It means the reward is tied to real, lasting outcomes for the puppy and for both our businesses.

6.3 How it's paid. Rewards are paid as cash, tracked in your breeder portal and paid monthly, in arrears, against a valid tax invoice or recipient-created tax invoice (RCTI). You're responsible for any tax that applies to rewards you receive.

6.4 What qualifies. A reward only applies where:

• the family is genuinely connected to your litter through your litter code or link;

• it's a new 5 Hounds customer (not someone re-subscribing); and

• the second delivery has actually shipped.

6.5 What doesn't. Rewards aren't payable on your own orders or accounts, on orders you place yourself, or where we reasonably believe a sign-up isn't genuine. We may withhold or reverse a reward in those cases.

7. Your commitments

As a partner, you agree to:

• uphold the care and welfare standards in Section 9 for as long as you're in the Program;

• introduce your puppies to 5 Hounds during weaning, so they go home already familiar with it;

• pass on the Puppy Welcome Pack to your families and show them how 5 Hounds fits into everyday feeding;

• give accurate litter and contact details, and keep them current;

• only make claims about 5 Hounds that are true and that we've provided or approved (please don't make health or nutrition claims we haven't given you); and

• follow all laws that apply to your breeding business.

8. Using each other's names and content

This is deliberately friendly, because your reputation is yours.

8.1 What you let us do. While you're an active partner, you give us permission to use your business name, your litter and puppy photos that you share with us, and any content you create about the partnership, for the purpose of running and promoting the Program (for example, on our website, socials and marketing).

8.2 It's limited and revocable. This permission lasts only while you're an active partner and applies only to Program-related promotion. You can ask us to stop using, or to take down, specific content at any time, and we'll do so within a reasonable time. When you leave the Program, the permission ends for any new use (we may keep incidental historical material, like a past post, but won't create new marketing from your content).

8.3 What we let you do. While you're an active partner, you may describe yourself as a "5 Hounds Breeder Partner" and use the assets in our toolkit, following any simple brand guidelines we give you. You can't use our name, logo or marks in any other way without our okay, and this permission ends when your partnership does.

9. Care, welfare and compliance standards

Welfare isn't negotiable for us. By joining, you confirm that, for all dogs and puppies in your care:

• you're a registered breeder and breed in line with your state's laws and code of ethics;

• weight and body condition are monitored regularly, including for pregnant and lactating dogs;

• dogs are kept clean, well-groomed, and housed with enough space to move and roam;

• puppies are microchipped by a registered vet between 6 and 8 weeks of age;

• dogs and puppies have regular check-ups with a registered vet;

• puppies are only rehomed to individual homes, never to pet shops;

• the minimum rehoming age is 8 weeks;

• each female has no more than two litters in any 18-month period;

• breeding females are at least 12 months old before their first litter; and

• you'll provide your vet clinic's details, and photos of housing and birthing areas, if we ask.

If your circumstances don't match one of these, tell us. We'd rather have an honest conversation than a tick-box. We may pause or end a partnership where welfare standards aren't being met.

10. If a partnership underperforms or ends

10.1 Either of us can leave. You can leave the Program at any time by letting us know. We can also end or pause your participation, for example for a breach of these Terms, a welfare concern, misuse of codes or offers, or sustained very low take-up.

10.2 What happens to rewards. Rewards you've properly earned before you leave will still be honoured. Rewards that haven't yet qualified (for example, a family who hasn't reached their second box) won't be paid.

10.3 A fair clawback. If a puppy family churns very soon after a reward is paid (specifically, if they cancel before their third delivery), we may reverse or recover that specific reward. We will not ask you to repay the value of Welcome Packs, samples or other support already given in good faith. (This is intentionally gentler than some programs: we don't think partners should carry the risk of a customer changing their mind.)

10.4 After you leave. Your codes and landing page are switched off, and the name, logo and content permissions in Section 8 end as described there.

11. Changes to the Program and these Terms

The Program is new and will evolve. We may update the Program's benefits, rewards or these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll give you reasonable notice. If you keep taking part after a change takes effect, that counts as accepting the updated Terms. If you're not happy with a change, you're free to leave.

12. Privacy and information

We'll handle your information, and your puppy families' information, in line with our Privacy Policy (available here) and Australian privacy law. You agree that, where you pass on a family's details or they sign up through your link, they may become a 5 Hounds customer and we'll look after their information directly from there.

13. Liability

We'll always do our best by you and your dogs, but to the extent the law allows: we don't guarantee any particular number of sign-ups, rewards or income from the Program, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.

14. General

These Terms are the whole agreement between us about the Program. They're governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

15. Acceptance

By ticking "I've read and agree to the 5 Hounds Breeder Program Terms" on the application, you confirm you've read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
