Our meals arrive snap-frozen to lock in freshness. Store them in the freezer and defrost in the fridge as needed.
Once thawed, meals will keep fresh for up to four days in the fridge. Do not refreeze. Discard any remaining food after four days.

No. Our insulated boxes and ice packs keep meals frozen until you return home. Deliveries arrive via cold courier, and you’ll receive tracking notifications so you know when your box is on the way. Simply transfer the meals to your freezer when you get home.

Whenever changing your dog's diet, it's best to transition in stages rather than all at once.

We recommend gradually introducing your dog to 5 Hounds meals, to avoid digestive upset.

A good rule of thumb is to make this transition over 5-7 days.

Important: don't progress with transitioning if you notice signs of an upset stomach (e.g. loose stools). If severe symptoms occur - such as blood in the stool, lethargy and/or vomiting - consult a vet immediately.
