Who qualifies to join the program?
To join the 5 Hounds Breeder Program, you'll need to be:

A registered, ethical breeder
We partner with breeders who prioritise the health and welfare of their dogs and litters, and who can demonstrate registration with a relevant breed or kennel body.

Currently breeding, or planning a litter soon
You don't need an existing track record with us. Most breeders start with one active litter and grow toward proven status as they continue working with us.

Including appropriate health testing, suitable housing and care standards, and a genuine focus on placing puppies with well-matched, prepared families.

Willing to introduce your puppy families to fresh food
As part of their transition home, which is exactly where the free weaning food and family discounts come in.
Every application is reviewed personally by Dr Will, so approval isn't automatic, and that's by design. It keeps the program a genuine partnership rather than a blanket discount scheme.
How it Works
Step 1: Apply
Complete our short application quiz. It takes a few minutes and helps Dr Will understand your breeding program and your litters.
Step 2: Get reviewed
Dr Will personally reviews every application. We're looking for breeders who share our values around health, welfare, and responsible breeding.
Step 3: Get set up
Once approved, you'll receive access to your breeder portal along with your unique referral details to share with puppy families.
Step 4: Share with your families
Pass on your referral details to the families taking home your puppies. They'll enjoy 75% off on their first box of 5 Hounds.
Step 5: Receive your rewards
Your litters receive free weaning food at 3 weeks, and once a puppy family reaches their second delivery, you receive a $50 cash reward.

The best switch we made

The best start a puppy can have
Our beautiful Lucy is now 12 weeks old we got her at 10 weeks. She came with a kibble diet of which were told to change to our preferred diet over 7 days, however on day 2 I put a few teaspoons of 5 Hounds in and she ate that and licked the kibble clean and left the kibble in the bowl. So the next day it was more and then on day 3 she was on 100% 5 Hounds, awesome stools and a very happy girl. She is now a dedicated full bowl puppy !!

Thriving after pancreatitis attack
Our puppy Louie was on your standard kibble diet and got very sick and diagnosed with pancreatitis at 12 months of age. I started researching what food to feed him and found Dr Will and 5 Hounds. It’s the best decision we have made. Louie loves his Kangaroo and Goat bowls and I add the probiotic to his meal also. He is thriving now and was on the heavier side at 12kgs when he started and is now a lean 9.5kgs. He gets so excited when his delivery arrives. I feel at ease knowing that he is getting all the nutrients he needs and is healthy. No more stinky farts, loose bowels and stinky breath. Once a puppy family you've referred reaches their second delivery, the $50 cash reward is paid directly to you. You'll be able to track referrals through your breeder portal.

At 3 weeks of age we will dispatch one free box of food for weaning, while anything additional can be purchased at 25% off our standard price.
Once your application is approved, we'll work with you to time delivery around your litter's weaning window.

That's okay. You can still apply, and once you have a litter ready, you'll be all set to activate your benefits. Most breeders start with one active litter and build from there.
