Fish are friends, but also food! Our Fish Bowl is particularly beneficial for supporting skin and coat health, strengthening bones and muscles, and boosting the immune and digestive systems.
To be precise, the Australian Salmon, Sardines, and Walnut Oil featured in this recipe are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial for maintaining healthy skin and a shiny coat. The balanced omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of 1.23:1 also helps reduce inflammation, benefiting dogs with allergies, arthritis, or other inflammatory conditions. Omega-3s also support cognitive function and cardiovascular health.
In addition, the inclusion of Calcium Carbonate, along with the phosphorus from the fish, helps to support strong bones and teeth in dogs. The choline supplement, meanwhile, is important for maintaining healthy joints, particularly in older dogs, and it also supports liver function.
Finally, ingredients such as the Sweet Potato and Carrots are high in dietary fibre, which promotes healthy digestion and regular bowel movements for our dogs. They are also rich in antioxidants, supporting the immune system. Button Mushrooms, in particular, have immune-boosting properties and provide additional vitamins and minerals. Whilst Turmeric, with its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, further supports immune health and helps in managing inflammation, while black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin in turmeric.

Amazing 🤩
After 12 months of trial and error resulting in our young dog becoming overweight and having constant stomach upsets, I decided to go down the lightly cooked route and came across 5 hounds. After 10 weeks my dog has had a complete transformation, has not had one stomach upset and is in amazing shape. I have also found Dr Will and Dr Sienna to be very helpful and knowledgeable when I had to make a few tweaks in Franklin’s meal plan to support his urinary health. I think the photo speaks for itself….

Our Vizsla Mavis has been on 5Hounds since the beginning and we have seen so many improvements in her overall health. Joey is back to his cheeky, sassy little self
Joey became quite sick last year and we discovered he had a LOT of food allergies and sensitivities. He was on crocodile protein but it was not a long Term solution. Enter Dr Will and 5 Hounds. I was nervous at first, as Joey had been hospitalised and everything made him really sick. Dr Will was so supportive and was there to give me veterinarian advice and support through Joey’s transition journey. Dr Will had recommended the Goat protein that he has and to do a much slower transition than normal. I followed his advice and guidance and Joey is doing amazing! I can’t recommend 5 Hounds and Dr Will enough! I am so happy and so is Joey and his little tummy.
